Officers responded to the site of a semi-truck fire early Wednesday morning underneath the Corridor H Elkins exit bridge. The cab of the truck was engulfed in flames when the officers arrived. The driver told officers he was able to get out of the vehicle himself and was uninjured. The road was shut down until the fire was extinguished. Officials said the cause of the fire is currently unknown. The Elkins Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and Elkins Fire Department responded to the scene.
