Memorial bench placed at Teter Lake in Barbour County

Hello from Barbour County! Summer might have gotten off to a cool, rainy start, but this past week sure has made up for it! Last weekend, the temperatures were in the 90’s. I sure was glad to see the rain come again and cool things back down a bit!

When you fish at Teter Lake, you might notice a new addition. Christine Moore donated a memorial bench in memory of her husband, Terry W. Moore. He passed away almost 10 years ago, but “Cheese Point” was his favorite spot to catch fish. The memorial bench was put in place by members of the Teter Creek Neighborhood Watch. So next time you are trying to catch “the big one,” sit a spell and remember the good old days when Terry probably would have joined you there.

Aqua Zumba happens every Saturday morning at the Philippi City Pool at 10 a.m.
