MOOREFIELD -- Strasburg (Va.) used a big first quarter to claim a 43-40 win over Moorefield on Friday night.
Madison McGregor had 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Lady Yellow Jackets, who trailed 17-7 after the opening canto and 23-20 at the intermission.
Moorefield then took a 33-29 lead entering the final quarter.
Anna Riggleman added 12 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double for the hosts, while Remi Hinkle tallied four rebounds and three steals and Lexi Gilhus six points and four caroms.
Christyan Reid led the Lady Rams with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Nyla Sperry also reached double figures with 11 points.
Moorefield (5-3) will return to action at 6 p.m. Saturday at Lewis County.
