ABU men’s spikers fall to Queens, 3-1

PHILIPPI --The Alderson Broaddus University men's volleyball team fell 3-1 to visiting Queens University Sunday afternoon at Rex Pyles Arena.

In the opening set, the Battlers trailed 20-19, but a Jake Wells kill sparked six straight points for AB to take the first set, 25-20.

Queens, however, would go on to win the next three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-13 and 25-14.

Wells led the offense for the Battlers with 16 kills. Cameron Snaden added 11 kills.

Chase Christiansen tallied 11 kills and six blocks for AB. Andres Luna tallied 38 set assists.

The Battlers are back in action on Friday when they host Lincoln Memorial.
