PARSONS -- The Elkins Middle School junior varsity squad earned a win over Tucker Valley on Monday night, while the Hornets fell in varsity play.
The JV squad claimed a 36-30 win as Nate Hulver scored seven, Brock Holland six and Daniel Dodds , Griffin Boggs and A.J. Friedman five each.
Jeremiah Wratchford led Tucker Valley with eight.
The Hornets dropped the varsity contest, 56-48.
Cory Harper fired in a game-high 26 points for EMS, while Aziah Benson chipped in seven and Tanner Miller six.
Dom Mullenax led the Wildcats with 16 points.
EMS will travel to Taylor County Thursday, and conclude the home portion of the schedule Monday against Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School.
