By Joey Kittle 2 min read

HAMBLETON -- Lincoln used a strong third quarter to break a halftime deadlock and take a 52-45 win over Tucker County on Friday night.

The game was tied at 23-23 at the intermission before the Cougars (14-7) outscored the Mountain Lions, 17-8, in the third frame to lead by nine, at 40-31, after three quarters.

"I was really pleased with the effort we gave," Tucker County coach Jimmy Ambrose said. "We are still getting better, but the hardest part of coaching is trying to keep the kids focused when you lose games.
