Buckhannon-Upshur senior Dawson Lilly, shown being guarded by Elkins' Elliot White in a game from February, was named to the Class AAA all-state honorable mention list on Sunday, along with teammate Ryan Hurst.
TENNERTON -- Buckhannon-Upshur's Dawson Lilly and Ryan Hurst received spots on the Class AAA all-state honorable mention list released on Sunday.
Lilly, a senior guard, led the Bucs in scoring. Hurst is a sophomore guard.
George Washington senior guard Bunky Brown was chosen as the first-team captain on the Class AAA All-State team as selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
Brown averaged 26.4 points and nearly eight rebounds.
He is joined on the first team by Parkersburg South senior guard Seth Fallon, Martinsburg senior guard Grant Harman, Spring Valley senior wing C.J. Meredith, University junior guard Kaden Metheny, Woodrow Wilson senior guard Bryce Radford, Morgantown senior guard Cam Selders and Wheeling Park junior wing Alex Vargo.
