DURHAM, N.C. -- The Davis & Elkins mens track team had a big weekend running at the Duke University Invitational in Durham, N.C. on Friday and Saturday.

Running in a field comprised of several Division I institutions and Division II powerhouses, the Senators held their own with several impressive performances.

Emeric Arnaud ran the first Outdoor Track & Field Provisional Time in program history, shattering the school record in 14:22.38 in the 5000m. This time currently ranks 17th in Division II, and is the second fastest 5K in GMAC history.

Arnaud ran this event in the 5K Invitational among 24 other runners from schools such as Duke, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Minnesota and Virginia Tech.

Daniel Jarrell broke the school record with a 22.13 time in the 200m, and finished strong in the 400m at 49.2

Dawson Scheufele broke his own record in the 800m, finishing with a time of 1:58.336.

Aidan Konhaus ran a strong 5K time of 15:37, and the tandem of Felix Buck-Gramcko and Scott Barker ran 4:06 and 4:07 in the 1500m.

DURHAM, N.C. -- Samantha Kirk has progressed in the 400-meter hurdles event each weekend of the Outdoor Track & Field season, and finally hit the Provisional Time at last weekend's Duke University Invitational.

Kirk ran a 61.74 in the event to meet the provo time, which is the fastest 400m hurdle time in GMAC history, and sits 27th in D-II currently. This time is also a school record, and was good enough for a 4th place finish in a mostly D-I field (fastest of all D-II finishers).

Roxine Chambers ran a solid sub-60 in the 400m, finishing in 59.22. Danielle Haynes and Skylee Watson ran 5:03 and 5:07 respectively in the 1500m.

The Relay teams continued their strong performances, as the 4×100 of Megan Augustine, Roxine Chambers, Samantha Kirk and Roxanne McFarlin ran 48.8, and Kirk, Chambers, McFarlin, and Rebecca Laberge ran a 4:02.27 in the 4×400.

The Senators will head to Morgantown Saturday for the WVU Invitational.
