πMILL CREEK -- Tygarts Valley used a 13-hit attack en route to a 14-1 victory over Trinity Christian Tuesday in opening round action of the Class A, Region II, Section 1 tournament at Bulldog Field.
Willy Walden, Logan George, and Ethan Kirk all led the way at the plate for the Bulldogs with two hits and two RBIs each.
Tygarts Valley, which scored seven runs in each the first and second innings, also received one hit and two RBIs from Riley Tackett. Ethan Lanham chipped in with a pair of hits and knocked in a run, while Garrett Gibson finished with one hit and one RBI.
Brandon Mahoney notched the win for the Bulldogs in 4 2/3 innings pitched. Mahoney allowed just one hit, struck out three and walked none.
Kyler Grimes suffered the loss for Warriors in one inning of work. He gave up 11 runs on 10 hits.
Turner Lawrence had the lone hit in the contest for Trinity.
