Bulldogs fall in home closer
MILL CREEK — The Tygarts Valley Bulldogs baseball squad fell to Petersburg 8-4 in their last regular season home game Tuesday.
Peyton Sindledecker hit a triple for the Vikings, while Dawson Tingler and Blake Loy drove in 2 RBIs each.
Tyce Wisnewski was the winning pitcher for Petersburg, allowing 7 hits and 3 runs in 5-plus innings while striking out 2. Tingler also pitched an inning-plus for the Vikings, allowing a hit and a run while striking out one batter.
Logan George took the loss for Tygarts Valley, allowing 7 hits and 6 runs in 6 innings, while striking out 3 batters. William Walden pitched one inning for the Bulldogs, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs and allowing a walk.
George led the Bulldogs at the plate, hitting two singles and driving in a pair of RBIs.
The Bulldogs, now 16-12 on the season, will play their regular season finale on Friday at Tucker County at 4 p.m.
The Vikings, now 9-17 on the year, will host Spring Mills today at 4 p.m.
