RICHMOND, Va. -- Four-time champion Overseas Elite eliminated Best Virginia from The Basketball Tournament Saturday at the Siegel Center.
Best Virginia, comprised of former West Virginia University standouts, had defeated Seven City Royalty in Friday's first round.
But Overseas Elite, which advanced to the Final Eight in Chicago with a win over Team DRC on Sunday, used 20 points and six assists from former Gonzaga star Jeremy Pargo, 12 points from D.J. Kennedy (St. Johns) and a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds from Justin Burrell (St. Johns) to knock the West Virginia squad out of contention for the $2 million prize to the tourney's overall winner with an 80-68 victory.
Marshall product DeAndre Kane also reached double figures with 11 points.
Kevin Jones led Best Virginia with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Devin Williams came off the bench to add 14 points.
Williams also collected a game-high 16 rebounds.
Jaysean Paige chipped in with 11 points in a losing effort.
