KEYSER -- Wheeling Post 1 handed host squad Romney a 7-3 setback Thursday in American Legion State Tournament play at Potomac State College.

Wheeling (26-8) faced Morgantown Post 2 at 10 a.m. today in a battle of unbeaten teams in the six-team tournament.

Post 2, which rallied from a 3-0 deficit to best Elkins, 4-3, in 10 innings on Wednesday, had the day off on Thursday due to the schedule being pushed back due to Wednesday's weather delay.

In Thursday's other action, Berkeley County eliminated Elkins, 2-1, and Romney stayed alive with a 2-1 victory over South Charleston in the late game.

South Charleston will now face the loser between Morgantown and Wheeling at 1 p.m. in another elimination contest (Game 7), while Romney and Berkeley County battle at 4 p.m.

Saturday's schedule includes the Morgantown-Wheeling winner vs. the victor of Game 7, followed by the Romney-Berkeley County winner vs. the survivor of elimination play.
