PHILIPPI -- Alderson Broaddus Women's Volleyball will be hosting a special Middle School Volleyball Appreciation Night for their match today against Glenville State College.

As part of the festivities, the middle school volleyball teams from Philippi, Belington and Kasson middle schools will be honored between sets.

"We are excited to invite the local middle school teams to campus on Tuesday," said Director of Athletics, Carrie Bodkins. "This is a great opportunity for the teams in the community to find out what it is like to be a Battler on game day."

In addition to honoring the middle school teams, drawings will be held for students to win $20 gift cards between sets. All students who attend the event will be given a raffle ticket for drawings that will take place between sets.

The Battlers enter the match with a 6-8 record overall, and a 1-0 home record.

Ashlyn McDonald currently leads the Battlers with 144 kills so far this season. Camille Ashby is leading the team in assists, with 207.

Defensively, Kiley Sparks has contributed 29 blocks to lead AB.

"We look forward to getting back on track against a tough Glenville team," said coach Abby Stoner. "Our home crowd was electric for our first home game and that energy translated to the court. We are thankful for the continued support and excited to get back out in front of our home crowd."

The action begins at 7 p.m. tonight.
