BUCKHANNON -- The Buckhannon Police Department and Mountain Lakes Task Force made a recent arrest involving heroin being brought into the area from Tennessee.
Allison Case Fox, 41, of Morristown, Tenn., was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin, and transporting heroin into the state, and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, all felonies, by Cpl. Marshall O'Connor, a BPD officer and task force member.
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, O'Connor conducted a controlled buy operation at Sheetz, according to the criminal complaint in the Upshur County Magistrate Clerk's office. Fox allegedly used her cell phone to call a source to arrange the sale of 1 gram of heroin for $200-$300. Fox said her supplier had the requested amount and would bring it from Tennessee. The amount of heroin seized was .6 grams. Fox allegedly admitted she was going to give the heroin to her boyfriend. Officers also seized 1.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Magistrate Kay Hurst set bond at $90,000 cash or surety.
Both possession with intent to deliver heroin and transporting heroin into this state carry one to 15 years in prison and/or not more than a $25,000 fine. The penalty for conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance carries imprisonment for a determinate sentence of not less than two to 10 years.
