O’Loughlin presented with Outstanding Preceptor Award
Dr. Gerard O’Loughlin, a family practice provider with the Physicians of St. Joseph’s, was presented with the Outstanding Preceptor Award by the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. The award goes to a physician who exhibits professionalism and demonstrates excellence in teaching and mentoring. Preceptors provide guidance to WVSOM students in their third- and fourth-year clinical rotations. Two awards are presented each year in the statewide campus region of WVSOM, which includes the central part of West Virginia from Elkins to Weston, Bridgeport, Morgantown, Parkersburg and into Marietta, Ohio.
