MGA sees success at Big Dog Meet

ELKINS -- Mountain Gymnastics Academy gymnasts competed against 16 other teams at the Big Dog Gymnastics Meet in Charleston.
Xcel Bronze gymnast Maddie Garner of Beverly came in second on vault, and first on all other events including the all-around.
Aubrey Jellerson of Elkins placed second on bars, floor and all-around.
Alexis Riffle of Elkins took first on bars, second on vault and third all-around.
Ella McCauley of Coalton placed second on floor and third all-around. JJ Stalnaker of Beverly placed second on bars, and Esme Heckler of Mill Creek came in third all-around.
In the Xcel Silver division, Michelle Gassnola of Belington placed second on bars, and Payton Shahan of Philippi came in second on beam.

The Big Dog Meet is unique in that Levels 6 and up can qualify for finals.
Level 7 gymnast Claire Kniffen qualified for finals on floor, and Level 8 gymnast Lily Hayes qualified on beam.

The Bronze, Silver, Gold and Level 4 gymnasts head to Morgantown to compete in the Seasons Greetings Meet.
The Platinum and Diamond squads join the Level 6, 7 and 8 gymnasts in Baltimore for the Christmas on the Chesapeake Meet with over 3,000 competitors from over 80 gymnastics clubs competing.
Mountain Gymnastics Academy offers gymnastics training for boys and girls ages 18 months to 18 years and all skill levels from Randolph and surrounding counties.
