Paternal great-grandparents are Mary Runner and Sue Lantz. Paternal grandparents are Susannah Runner and Donald Zirkle.

Macie and David Higgins of Elkins announce the birth of a son born at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 17, 2019, at Davis Medical Center. The infant weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and has been named Roman David Higgins. The mother is the former Macie Cooper, Maternal grandparent is Donna Cooper. Paternal grandparents are Donald “Robin” Higgins and Kimberly Higgins. Great-grandparents are Patrick and Norma Stanton and Marlene and Donald “Sam” Higgins.

Simeon and Lydia Sheppard of Harman announce the birth of a son, born at 6:48 p.m. Jan. 30, 2019, in Davis Medical Center. The infant weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and has been named Samuel Matthew Sheppard. The mother is the former Lydia Rhodes. Maternal grandparents are Todd and Michelle Rhodes. Paternal grandparents are Joey and Lisa Sheppard. Great-grandparents are Milton and Eloise Evans, Ruth Rhodes and Allen and Betty Sheppard.

104th Birthday Celebrated

Lloyd E. ‘Dabney’ Kisner

Lloyd E. “Dabney” Kisner Jr. celebrated his 99th birthday on Jan. 13. Mr. Kisner currently resides in Colonial Place. He, along with his wife, Irene “Reeney” Jones Kisner, owned and operated the Pocahontas Restaurant and Motel near Durbin for 40 years.
