Penni Harris and Troy N. Powell, both of Elkins, announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mandy Landis of Buckhannon and Brad Cosner of Elkins and the late Ricky Harris of Navarre, Florida. She is a graduate of Navarre High School, Pensacola Junior College and Davis & Elkins College. She is a math teacher at Elkins High School, an assistant volleyball coach at Elkins Middle School and a public affairs NCO with the 153rd Public Affairs Detachment of the West Virginia National Guard.

Her fiance is the son of Troy L. and Jodi Powell of Battlefield, Missouri. He is a graduate of Kickapoo High School and recently completed a five-year enlistment in the United States Army. He is currently completing the 15-week lineman course through Southeast Lineman Training School in Georgia.

The wedding will be July 29 in Elkins.
