Auvil family reunion held Sept. 8

The descendants of Charles and Charlotte Righman Auvil gathered at the New Beginnings Church on Sept. 8 to celebrate the 20th annual Auvil reunion. After the blessing by Freda Norris, a covered-dish dinner was enjoyed by all. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends.

Those present and recognized were Gerald Cline, oldest man; Rosalie Poling Marsh, oldest woman; Mason Lee Snyder, youngest child; Justin and Brittany Snyder, most recently married; Brian Edge, Fairmont, traveling the farthest; John and Carol Edge, couple married the longest, and John and Carol Edge and Carol Hovatter, had the most children and grandchildren present. Door prizes were presented to Lew Baxter, Danielle Rush, Macel Auvil, Heather Poling, Carol Hovatter and Brian Edge. The following children were also awarded prizes: T.J. Edge, McKenzie Moyer, Henry Poling, Samuel Poling and Mason Lee Snyder.

The Auvil reunion is held the second Sunday in September. The 21th Auvil reunion will be held at the New Beginnings Church on Sept. 13, 2020. Any comments, changes and/or suggestions to improve the reunion are welcome.
