April Kesling and Ryan Layman were joined in holy matrimony on May 6, 2023, in an outside ceremony at Bailey Barns Venue in Fairview officiated by Todd Rodgers.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Alesia Kesling of Beverly and the granddaughter of Barbara Kesling of Elkins along with Barbara and James Lawrence of Dry Fork. She is a 2017 and 2019 graduate from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management. She cheered for WVU Athletics on the WVU Cheer Team for six years. She is currently employed with Marathon Petroleum Company within the Refining Division.

The groom is the son of Mike and Chris Layman of Wytheville, Virginia, and the grandson of Mary Beth Rodgers along with Sheldon and Marilee Layman of Virginia. He is a 2018 graduate from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He is currently employed with Marathon Petroleum Company within the Refining Division.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line gown and veil from Blush Bridal Salon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The groom and groomsmen were attired in navy while the bridesmaids were attired in ballet pink gowns. Serving as the flower girl and ringbearer were Gracie and Monti (dogs of the bride and groom).

The reception followed at Bailey Barns Venue catered by Colessano’s of Fairmont with 116 Entertainment providing the photo booth, entertainment, light show and music. Cocktail hour was catered by The Grazing Goat Charcuterie of Fairmont. Rehearsal was catered by Mason Jar BBQ and Catering of Morgantown. The photography was captured by Lea Michelle Photography (Lea Propst Fedder of Buckhannon). Videography was captured by Christian Kerns and will be made by Elevated Media. Hair and makeup for the bridal party was by BB Beauty — Beth Brenwalt and Kaylee Halterman of Elkins.

The couple currently resides in Louisiana.
