BELINGTON — Belington Community Medical Services Association has unveiled a logo featuring its new name — Barbour Community Health Association. The new name goes into effect immediately.

Barbour Community Health Association, parent organization, and its network of facilities will embrace new names as follows:

• Barbour Community Health Association’s Belington Clinic.

• Barbour Community Health Association’s Myers Clinic.

• Barbour Community Health Association’s Brandon Wellness Center.

• Barbour Community Health Association’s Belington Wellness Center.

CEO Eric Ruf noted that rebranding efforts for the entire network have been in the works since the 2016 acquisition of the Myers Clinic in Philippi.

“We wanted a name that could not only embody the organization as a whole, but also our locations and services,” Ruf said at a recent launch event. “I think it’s remarkable how we’ve done this, not only in the development of a new name, but also in the logo. I’m really excited for our future as Barbour Community Health Association.”

Michael Cvechko, BCHA board member and president said that–facilities in the network also are being rebranded to create a picture of one inclusive healthcare system.

“Right now, we have different facility names, and some people might not know that we’re a sister facility to Myers Clinic (in Philippi) or Brandon Wellness Center (at Phillip Barbour High School),” Cvechko added. “A new name and logo makes us stronger as a system and will help the community identify us as one brand.”

By bringing all these facilities together under the Barbour Community Health Association umbrella, Cvechko said, it helps to better align the locations through a shared mission statement, vision and values.

The new logo demonstrates a connection between the organization’s network of locations by having separate pieces of the icon come together to create a whole.

This mark also communicates growth, progress and productivity, all essential components of the organization’s mission.

As part of this mission, BCHA has added behavioral health services and will soon expand their facilities to include a partnership with Alderson Broaddus University later this fall.
