ELKINS — Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center (ERCC) was recently accredited by the Better Business Bureau — receiving an A+ rating — for its excellence in delivering complete compassionate care.

This rating is based on information the Better Business Bureau obtains about the company such as the number of complaints filed concerning the business and, if there are complaints filed, how the business addressed them. The business is also routinely evaluated to check for licensing and whether any governmental actions have been taken against the business. Lastly, a review is done on a company’s advertising to determine whether the company is honest with how it advertises its services.

Tara Shaver, ERCC administrator, stated that the rating was reflective of the work done by ERCC staff members as well as the services provided at the facility. ERCC staff members strive to treat every resident and patient like their own family members.

“Our staff is the key to our success,” Shaver noted. “It’s great to see their hard work recognized by the Better Business Bureau.”

Shaver noted that the accreditation shows that ERCC is a responsible, honest member of the West Virginia business community, and that staff members and the company’s leadership display the utmost ethics.

“We work to ensure that we are providing the best possible care to our residents and patients,” Shaver noted. “We take the community’s trust very seriously and we want to protect that trust.”
