Chocolate crinkle cookies, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies just might be in the Barbour County CEOS' collection of homemade cookies at this year's Christmas Cookie Sale on Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at downtown Philippi's The Market Place.
PHILIPPI -- While Philippi's all volunteer Christmas committee, A Covered Bridge Christmas Committee, has had to make major adjustments in this year's celebratory events, one event will continue. The Barbour County CEOS will once again partner with the Christmas Committee to provide dozens of homemade cookies for the Christmas Cookie Sale.
The CEOS will be at The Market Place on Main Street, Philippi on Dec. 18 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with their Christmas delicacies. This event was a hit with last year's visitors and produced profits that were used to bring cheer to community children in need.
Once again, profits from the Christmas Cookie Sale will make Christmas toys and other gifts available to some of the community's needy children.
"We hope lots of people will visit the Christmas Cookie Sale at The Market Place this year. Everyone is a winner with this event. Buyers take home lots of great tasting homemade cookies, and some of Barbour County's needy children will have a merry Christmas," said a committee spokesperson.
