Gandy Dancer opens Friday
Theatre offering new patriotic shows during 11th season
ELKINS — Friday will be the opening night for Gandy Dancer Theatre’s 11th season.
“Throughout the pandemic we have managed to allow our guests to have a safe environment to enjoy fabulous live music,” said G’na Stephens, the CEO of the theatre.
The Gandy Dancer Theatre provides its guests the opportunity to see multiple types of shows throughout the year, including their Premier, Tribute to Musical Legends, Murder Mysteries and Aloha From Elvis.
New this year are three shows centered around a patriotic theme.
On July 3, the theatre will offer a half-Premier and half-Patriotic theme show.
On Sept. 10 and 11 the theatre will offer a tribute to the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
The year wouldn’t be the same without rounding it out with the Mountain Memories Christmas show and the annual New Year’s Eve event, this year with Robert Keefer as “Elvis.”
“I believe our success it owed to many things”, Stephens said. “An incredible cast of performers that continue to bring new shows every year, wonderful tourism partners from local to statewide attractions and greatly to our local crowds that come to almost every show.”
The Gandy Dancer Theatre has won the highest honors from the American Bus Association four years in a row as “Best of the Best.”
This award is only given to 40-50 attractions throughout the United States and Canada each year.
