ELKINS -- The free Elkins E3 Business Expo is set for March 24 at the Phil Gainer Community Center.
Businesses -- potential, existing and women/minority owned -- all will have opportunities to learn, build relationships and network. From 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on March 24 there will be live education sessions, informative round tables, education booths, one-on-one discussions, story boards and valuable meet and greet interaction. Admission is free -- come for the entire day or as your time allows.
Throughout the day there will be 24 education sessions and/or round tables lasting approximately 45 minutes each. opics will include "Where do I start," "How do I find Employees," "How do I compete against Amazon," "What is the future for Corridor H," "What is the Elkins/Randolph County Market Profile", "Should I Consider Historic Tax Credits."
Whether starting a business or expanding a business, pick and choose the topics which will make your business successful. The goal is to provide basic, solid information and assistance. Registration is free - but space is limited. The complete schedule and sign-up can be found at conta.cc/3BK3AWm.
Education booths will have bankers, accountants, community business organizations, business coaches and many others. The booths provide an opportunity to ask specific questions to meet the needs of your business plan.
Story Boards will be set up to show the results of the 1,000 people who responded to the Main Street survey, the plans for development of the Elkins Riverfront, the renovation of the Tygart Hotel and other community initiatives which can impact your new/existing business.
In addition to the all-day activities on March 24, there will be an opening reception on 4-6 March 23. Sean Taylor with Taylor Hospitalities will provide comments on why his firm is excited about the renovation of the Tygart Hotel.
"Exciting things are happening in and around the Elkins-Randolph County community," said Lisa Wood, ERCC Executive Director. "A recent market study performed by Elkins Main Street gave us great insight on the many unique business ideas out there. We want to see those ideas come to fruition.
"Our organizations have pulled together to provide valuable information and resources to entrepreneurs and existing business owners. At the E3, you will find business coaches and experienced leaders providing valuable information on the market study results, funding assistance, marketing and management guidance, and so much more."
