CHICKEN BBQ: A Chicken Burn BBQ benefiting the Elkins United Christian Community Center will be held Saturday starting at 11 a.m. The event will be at the old IGA parking lot across from Davis Electric. Meals include a half chicken, applesauce, chips, dessert cake and a water. Meals can be purchased in person on site and online. SPAGHETTI DINNER: will be at St. Patrick Parish Hall in Coalton Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Dine-in or carry out. Separate prices for adults and children under 10 years old.
RAMP BURGER DRIVE-THRU: will be Sunday at 11 a.m. until sold out at Tractor Supply Co. in Elkins. A total of 400 meals will be sold. The meal will feature a quarter-pound ramp burger, chips and a drink for $10. Also selling clean ramps for $10 per pound, dirty ramps for $5 per pound, and bulbs only for $20 per pound. Proceeds will go to Boy Scout Troop 66 Summer Camp funds.
PURPLE MAJESTIES: The May get together for the Elkins Purple Majesties will be held Monday at Sweet T's Country Kitchen Restaurant, 6087 Seneca Trail, Valley Bend, at 11:30 a.m. The menu will consist of chicken or tuna salad.
