REVIVAL: Crystal Springs Church will be having revival June 1-3 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, June 4 at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Bobby Lambert, with special singing each service.

YARD SALE: The Orlena United Methodist Church at Gilman will host a yard sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 2 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3. Lunch and home made goods will also be available for purchase.

BINGO: Elkins Babe Ruth Baseball will host bingo on Saturday, June 3, at the Phil Gainer Center. Early Bird Drawing of $100 on May 20. Doors open at 5 p.m.; Bingo starts at 6 p.m. Concessions will be available. Chinese and silent auctions, and a 50/50 drawing. Tickets may be purchased from players, coaches and at the field or by calling 304-591-2567.

GOSPEL SING: Gould Christian Church,Gould Road in Adrian, will host a Gospel Sing June 3 at 4p.m. Singers will be the Strings of Faith and others, Everyone Welcome. For more information, contact Pastor Skyler Wood at 304-614-1867

PIE/CUPCAKE CONTEST: The Barbour County Community Educational Outreach Services (CEOS) will be sponsoring the 2023 Blue and Gray Reunion Pie/Cupcake Contest on Saturday, June 3,on the Barbour County Courthouse Square in Philippi. There are three categories: Children (up to 16 years old), Amateur and Commercial. Bring your best baked goods to the event between 10 a.m. and noon, judging will be at 1 p.m. If you are interested and would like the rules and registration information, you can go to the Barbour County WV CEOS Facebook page, email barbourceos@gmail.com or just give us a call at 304-669-6833. You can also go to the Barbour County Extension Service to get rules. Pre-registration is not required but encouraged.

FREE TREE PLANTING WORKSHOP: sponsored by the Elkins Tree Board will be Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m. in the front lawn of the historic Gov. Kump House on Randolph Ave. (across from Kroger). Parking is available in the rear of the Kump House. ETB member and silviculturist Linda Burke will lead the workshop which will focus on proper timing and methods of successful tree planting and care. HOMECOMING: The Lambert Community Church will host a homecoming event on June 11 beginning at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Jerry Ayers and a covered dish dinner will follow.

GOSPEL JAMBOREE: Valley Vista Camp located at 532 Valley Vista Lane Huttonsville will host a Friday night Gospel Jamboree on June 16, starting at 7.pm. The Lesters and other gospel acts will take the stage for a night of praise. The fun will continue on Saturday, June 17 at 7 p.m with another full evening of music. EHS CLASS OF 1973: Elkins High School class of 1973 is planning its 50th class reunion for Aug. 11 and 12. If you are planning to attend, contact Laurella Hardesty Lawrence at 304-636-7874 by July 1.

REUNION: Belington High School will host a reunion at 5 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Steer Steakhouse in Elkins. Each individual will pay for their own dinner. This is an invitation for anyone who attended BHS along with family and friends. Please RSVP by July 5.
