ELKINS -- Meeting next week are council's Finance Committee, the Elkins Tree Board, and the Elkins Planning Commission.
Early voting is available at Elkins City Hall (401 Davis Avenue) 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays through Friday, June 9 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on both Saturday June 3 and Saturday June 10. The Finance Committee meets Monday at 10 a.m. on the following business items: identification of funding source for EFD/EPD training site; funding request from Augusta Heritage Center, Inc. for acquisition and redevelopment of the Wilt Building; proposed purchase of real property in Second Ward; budget revisions for FY 2023; funding for city hall HVAC project; FY 2024 liability and auto insurance; and purchase of pick-up truck and garbage truck by Sanitation Department.
At its Tuesday 5:30 p.m. meeting, the Tree Board will work on grants and plan a workday at the Kump House and city tree nursery.
Meeting Thursday at 3:30 p.m., the Planning Commission continues work on its update to the comprehensive plan and the regulation of murals.
