FUNDRAISER: The Randolph County Chapter 74 of the Order of the Eastern Star will host a fundraiser today at Applebee's in Elkins. There will be an all-day-long special Tuesday menu.
CAKE WALK: There will be a cake walk Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Citizens Bank parking lot. Sponsored by Citizens Promoting Community and to benefit Meals on Wheels of Randolph County.
MOUNTAINEER CHAPTER of IWLA: will be hosting a Free Youth Conservation Day on Saturday. The clubhouse is located approximately 6 miles straight up Files Creek Road, in Beverly. This is a free event for kids 8-17 years of age. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the event starting around 9 a.m. Some learning stations for the day will include air rifle shooting, fishing, skeet shooting and more. Lunch will be served and the event is usually over around 2 p.m. All participants are asked to bring rubber boots and wear proper clothing for the day's weather.
RANDOLPH CHAPTER 74 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR: July meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge at 26 Randolph Ave. in Elkins. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. All members are welcome.
SAUDI ARABIA PRESENTATION: will be hosted by the Kump Education Center on Tuesday, July 25 at 7 p.m. The presentation titled "Saudi Arabia, Not Just a Desert Country" will be offered by Nasra Adan, a visiting lecturer from Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Adan's lecture will feature a power-point presentation, and Saudi treats and coffee afterward. The KEC is located at 401 Randolph Ave., Elkins (across from Kroger). Parking is available behind the Kump House with easy access on Seneca Road.
