RANDOLPH CHAPTER 74 ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR: July meeting will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge at 26 Randolph Ave. in Elkins. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. All members are welcome.
SAUDI ARABIA PRESENTATION: will be hosted by the Kump Education Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The presentation titled "Saudi Arabia, Not Just a Desert Country" will be offered by Nasra Adan, a visiting lecturer from Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Adan's lecture will feature a power-point presentation, and Saudi treats and coffee afterward. The KEC is located at 401 Randolph Ave., Elkins (across from Kroger). Parking is available behind the Kump House with easy access on Seneca Road. The event is free and open to the public. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Calvary Assembly of God will host a vacation bible school July 25-28 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church in Valley Head. There will be a meal every night and come learn about Christians in different continents with many special surprises, crafts and games.
4-H OX ROAST: 4-H Camp Pioneer will host the 60th annual Ox Roast on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in Beverly. The meal, priced at $15, will include two deep pit-roasted beef sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and drink. Customers may choose to dine In with friends or drive-thru. Randolph County 4-H members' project exhibits will also be on display for the public to view. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, online at camppioneerwv.com, or at the following sites: WVU Extension Office, Senior Center and Southern States in Elkins, the Beverly Heritage Center, and Liggett's Supply in Mill Creek. BIKE-A-THON: On Saturday 29, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, there will be a Bike-A-Thon held with all proceeds benefiting the building of the Dryfork Recreation Center. Children ages 2 to 12 may register to ride their bikes, trikes, balance bikes, scooters, rollerblades, etc. around the Dryfork Recreation Center. Participants are asked to gain sponsors for donations and/or per-lap pledges prior to the event. Fun activities and concessions will also be happening. BOWL FEST: The Arts Center will host Bowl Fest, a pottery open house, and art gallery open on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

REGION 2 WEST VIRGINIA WRITERS, INC.: including Pendleton, Randolph, Pocahontas and Webster counties will have an informational table at the Delmonte Market's upstairs bookstore Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Authors representing area publishing companies will be on hand to assist and answer questions for interested prospective writers. New publications will also be for review and sale.
REUNION: Belington High School will host a reunion at 5 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Stear Steakhouse in Elkins. Each individual will pay for their own dinner. This is an invitation for anyone who attended BHS along with family and friends. Please RSVP by July 5. MOUNTAINEER CHAPTER OF IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE: will host an event for new and inexperienced shooters on Saturday, Aug. 5 at the IWLA shooting range. ROSIE THE RIVETER CELEBRATION: Our Town, Inc. is hosting the third Rosie the Riveter Celebration at Halliehurst Mansion on the campus of Davis and Elkins College on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 1:30 -3 p.m.. RANDOLPH COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL: August meeting will be Friday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Homestead Community Center in Dailey. This is a covered dish dinner. PICKIN' IN THE PARK: Pickin' in the Park will take place each week at Elkins City Park on Wednesday nights through the summer. Co-sponsored by the Augusta Heritage Center and Elkins Parks and Recreation. The Country Music Jam Sessions start at 4:30 p.m. in the Small Pavilion, and the Old-Time Music Jam Sessions start at 6:30 p.m. in the raised Sycamore Street Pavillion. Both events run for at least two hours and are welcome to continue until the musicians are ready to stop. All acoustic instruments are welcome, as well as singers, dancers, and listeners.
