EHS CLASS OF 1957: will host the 66th reunion on Friday with a casual get together at the Odd Fellows Lodge and Saturday, Aug. 5, with breakfast at The Lunch Box and dinner at the Steer Stakehouse. For more information, call 304-636-3937.

YARD AND CRAFT SALE: The St. Patricks Church will be holding an indoor yard sale and craft sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held at the St. Patricks Parish Hall on Coalton. All sellers are welcome and concessions will be available. For more information or to reserve a table call 304-591-3080.

REUNION: Belington High School will host a reunion at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stear Steakhouse in Elkins. Each individual will pay for their own dinner. This is an invitation for anyone who attended BHS along with family and friends. Please RSVP by July 5. FUNDRAISER: The Kasson & Nestorville Churches are having a yard sale, hot dog and bake sale Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nestorville Community Church. Located at the intersection of Route 92 N & 38 E. Take out will be available. Everyone is welcome.

MOUNTAINEER CHAPTER OF IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE: will host an event for new and inexperienced shooters on Saturday at the IWLA shooting range. BEVERLY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: will be having an Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church in Beverly. The sale will benefit Church Mission projects. Baked goods will also be available.

RANDOLPH COUNTY DEMOCRATS: are holding their annual picnic fundraiser on Thursday, August 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elkins City Park (large pavilion). This year's theme is "Let Freedom and Democracy Ring." There will be music, a 50/50 drawing, a hand-crocheted shawl auction, and a dessert auction.There will also be a recognition of the Randolph County "Democrat of the Year." Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share and a dessert to be auctioned. Drinks and tableware will be provided. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome. MEATBALL HOAGIE FUNDRAISER: There will be a meatball hoagie sale on Aug. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Beverly Fire Hall. The sale is a fundraiser for Chris See and the hoagies are being made by the St. Patrick's Guild of Coalton. Carry-out or delivery is available. Contact Jim at 304-546-6477 for more information.

PURPLE MAJESTIES: The Elkins Purple Majesties Red Hatters will meet Aug. 14 at Ellie Mays Restaurant at Elk Springs Resort in Monterville. Lunch of trout or chicken will be served at noon. EHS CLASS OF 1973: will host the 50th reunion at the Phil Gainer Community Center on Friday, Aug. 11, from 7-10 p.m. Dinner and activities will be at Camp Pioneer at Beverly on Aug. 12 starting at 5 p.m. Reminisce with 65 classmates from 10 states. ROSIE THE RIVETER CELEBRATION: Our Town, Inc. is hosting the third Rosie the Riveter Celebration at Halliehurst Mansion on the campus of Davis and Elkins College on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 1:30 -3 p.m.. A program will occur along with the induction of five new Rosies followed by light refreshments. Space is limited. Reservations may be made to 304-636-0415.

RANDOLPH COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL: August meeting will be Friday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Homestead Community Center in Dailey. This is a covered dish dinner. PICKIN' IN THE PARK: Pickin' in the Park will take place each week at Elkins City Park on Wednesday nights through the summer. Co-sponsored by the Augusta Heritage Center and Elkins Parks and Recreation. The Country Music Jam Sessions start at 4:30 p.m. in the Small Pavilion, and the Old-Time Music Jam Sessions start at 6:30 p.m. in the raised Sycamore Street Pavillion. Both events run for at least two hours and are welcome to continue until the musicians are ready to stop. All acoustic instruments are welcome, as well as singers, dancers, and listeners. USED BOOK SALE: The Friends of the Library Used Book Sale and Donation drop off. Every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Davis Avenue location of the Library. All funds collected will go towards the new building fund.

TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Meeting following weigh in. For information contact Jane Robinson at 304 338-6403.
