THURSDAY NIGHT LIVE AND DRIVE CONCERT: Jason Good Blues Band will be performing at the Rotary Amphitheatre on Thursday from 6-8 pm. Concert is free. Presented by Our Town Inc. and Mountain State Street Machines. Car display will be present.

RANDOLPH COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL: August meeting will be Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the Homestead Community Center in Dailey. This is a covered dish dinner. An auction for the Scholarship Fund will be held. Please bring a dish and an item for the auction. All Randolph County retired school personnel are welcome. For more information, call 304-636-7649.

BELINGTON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1960: will hold a reunion on Saturday  from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Belington Community Center (old school gymnasium). Refreshments will be provided. Come enjoy spending time with old friends, reliving memories and exchanging updates of the last 63 years. Spend an afternoon of laughter and relaxation. LIONS CLUB OF ELKINS CHICKEN BARBECUE:  The Lions Club of Elkins will have a Chicken Barbecue on Saturday  at the parking lot across from Davis Electrical Service on Randolph Avenue (former IGA).  The meal will include half a chicken, two side items, roll, dessert, and bottled water.  The meals will be ready for drive-thru and walk-up pickup by 10:30 a.m. 

VFW POST NO. 5781: will host a meat shoot for 12 gauge shotguns Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the post home in Harman.  Refreshments will be provided. The next shoot is scheduled for Sept. 16. For information contact Danie Ours at 304-227-4349.

CAMP HOPE BENEFIT DINNER: will be Saturday, Sept. 16,  from noon to 7 p.m. at  Crim Memorial United Methodist Church, 78 Pike Street Philippi, WV 26416, You can call for advanced tickets at 304-366-8345. The meal will consist of Uncle V's Kickin' Chicken smoked on site and sides.

HOUSE TOUR TUESDAYS: Free public tours of the historic Kump House continue every Tuesday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. throughout the summer. New Wild, Wonderful Woods interpretive displays and upstairs rooms are included in the tour. The house is located at 401 Randolph Ave., Elkins (across from Kroger) and parking is available in the rear, accessible via Seneca Road. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
