Highland-Clarksburg Hospital celebrates 10-year anniversary

CLARKSBURG -- Highland-Clarksburg Hospital celebrated its 10-year anniversary on Thursday, August 17 with a day of fun and appreciation for all staff.

HCHI, an affiliate of Mon Health System, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Since admitting its first patient on Aug. 19, 2013, HCHI has provided acute, comprehensive psychiatric and substance abuse services to patients across North Central West Virginia and surrounding areas.

"Celebrating the hospital's 10-year anniversary is such an honor for me," said Victoria Jones, CEO of HCHI. "Our goal is to meet the acute behavioral health needs for individuals in West Virginia, and to do so with a community-based approach. We are proud to have served adults in need of behavioral healthcare services for the past decade."

HCHI staff gathered throughout the day to enjoy celebratory meals and take a commemorative photo.

"We wanted to focus on our staff during this anniversary celebration because they have been the ones making a difference and providing quality care for the past 10 years," said Jones.

In April of 2022, HCHI entered into an affiliation agreement with Mon Health System to ensure that Clarksburg area citizens continue to have independent behavioral and mental healthcare choices close to home.

"As an affiliate of Mon Health, we have the resources we need to grow and provide our services to more patients," said Jones. "In mid-September, we look forward to opening a unit to serve the adolescent population in West Virginia, which will in-turn bring more jobs to HCHI."
