Teter CEOS meet in Upshur County

The Teter CEOS met on Thursday, Sept. 21, in the basement of the Tennerton United Methodist Church. Hostesses for the occasion were Vonnie Hager, Barbara Hinkle and Millie Hornbeck. The tables were beautifully decorated in sunflowers and a scrumptious meal was enjoyed by those in attendance.
After the meal President Cindy Raffety called the meeting to order and Jerry Stankus led the group in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Millie Hornbeck gave members a smile for the day by reading "Stuff" for devotions.
The group enjoyed a beautiful day for the Mini Fair on Friday, Sept. 8, at which we sold Taco Salad, baked goods, and trash and treasures.
In October club members are asked to support the Lewis Upshur Animal Control Facility. The club decided to make a monetary donation as well as bring needed items.
On Oct. 2, at the Stockert Youth Center, a program will take place for Breast Cancer Awareness. The club will be donating a door prize.
The club decided to make the Blessing Boxes around town their project for the coming year. Each meeting food or other necessities will be purchased for these boxes with a different box being chosen and supplied throughout the month.
At the October meeting Cathy Chipps will ask her granddaughter to make a presentation on behalf of her ongoing Missions of Kindness. The group hopes to help with this endeavor.
