ELKINS -- On Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Elkins, the Rev. Dr. Steven S. Tuell will offer the keynote address in a series entitled "Creation in the Bible."
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Jointly presented by First Methodist, Holy Trinity Lutheran and Davis Memorial Presbyterian, the class is exploring the way creation figures not just in Genesis but throughout scripture.
Rev. Tuell is the James A. Kelso Professor Emeritus of Hebrew and Old Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
After studying at West Virginia Wesleyan College and Princeton Theological Seminary, he earned his doctorate in Hebrew Bible at Union Theological Seminary in Virginia.
An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Tuell has pastored churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia and Virginia, and is the author of a number of books.
