BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Randolph IOOF will host a sourdough buckwheat breakfast at the lodge hall on the Beverly Five-lane today from 7 a.m. to noon. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice. Apple butter will also be available.
HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA: will be hosted by Jennings Randolph Elementary School today from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. More than 20 crafters and vendors will be set up at this event, which will include a silent auction for items provided by local businesses. Concessions will be available.
HOMESTEAD BUCKWHEAT/PANCAKE BREAKFAST: will be held today from 7 a.m. to noon at the Homestead Community and Event Center dining hall located at 4051 Seneca Trail, Valley Bend. The all you can eat menu includes sour dough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, pork sausage, eggs (fried or scrambled), coffee, milk, or orange juice and syrup (regular or sugar free). CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: will be at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Elkins will be today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature hand-crafted items, baked goods, homemade candies, a Cookie Walk and a White Elephant Sale. Proceeds will benefit missions for women and children.
ANNUAL PORK STEAK DINNER: at the American Legion Hall in Pickens from 2-6 p.m. today. The menu will include baked pork steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, applesauce, homemade bread, dessert and drinks. Donations will be accepted for the meals. Proceeds will be used for maintaining the American Legion Hall and for community activities.
BUCKWHEAT FEED: at the Dry Fork Assembly Fellowship Center will be today from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. The menu consists of buckwheat cakes, pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, eggs, juice or milk or coffe. There is a cost for the meal. The event will also include a bake sale. All proceeds will benefit the Dry Fork Recreation Center.
DINNER: The Gaines Community Building and Salem Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings, on Monday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Gaines Community Building.
