HOMESTEAD BUCKWHEAT/PANCAKE BREAKFAST: will be Saturday, Jan. 6 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Homestead Community and Event Center dining hall located at 4051 Seneca Trail, Valley Bend. The all you can eat menu includes sour dough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, pork sausage, eggs (fried or scrambled), coffee, milk, or orange juice and syrup (regular or sugar free). RED HATS: The Elkins Red Hats Purple Majesties will meet Jan. 8 at the Railyard Restaurant in Elkins. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow. To make reservations call Carole Helmick at 304-614-0359 by noon on Jan 5.

RANDOLPH COUNTY DEMOCRATS: The Randolph County Democratic Executive Committee will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Kump Education Center beginning at 5 p.m. followed by the Randolph County Democratic Women's meeting at 6:30 p.m. New members of the Executive Committee will be welcomed at that time. BUCKWHEAT FEED: will be hosted by the Beverly United Methodist Church Men's Group on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 7 a.m. to noon at the church. The menu will consist of buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, eggs, coffee, milk and orange juice.
