MORGANTOWN -- Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care & Psychiatry is pleased to welcome Licensed Therapist, Jessica Garlow to its team of dedicated professionals.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jessica Garlow to the Mon Health family. She is a valuable addition to our team at Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care & Psychiatry and will provide a much-needed service to our patients," said Karen Friggens, Vice President of Physician Services at Mon Health Medical Group.

Garlow received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Master of Science in Social Work from West Virginia University. She comes to Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care & Psychiatry most recently from the National Youth Advocate Program in Fairmont, West Virginia where she worked as a licensed therapist for children and adolescents.

"I am excited to be a part of Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care & Psychiatry, where I will create a space that supports, empowers, and embraces unique experiences to help individuals feel their best," said Garlow. "I provide innovative strategies that utilize mindfulness, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches to assist with achieving most desired outcomes. I fuse ideas from different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness to provide every individual with solid tools and a focused plan to achieve goals, improve relationships, and establish a newly restored sense of self."

Garlow is now accepting patients for both in-person and telehealth appointments for those experiencing a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, identity, major life transitions, self-esteem, and family conflict.
