The Teter CEOS of Upshur County met Feb. 15 in the basement of the Tennerton United Methodist Church. Members were treated to a meal by hostesses Lynn Frum and Kathy Black. Lynn Frum opened with Lenten devotions from Upper Room. She asked those who wished to participate to write on a piece of paper something they wish to give up and then place in a container to set on fire.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited. Debbie Hinkle, vice president, led the meeting. Secretary Vonnie Hager, read the minutes of our last meeting and a Treasurers Report was given.
A club member was nominated for the Tip of the Hat Award to be chosen during the County Achievement Program. The club is responsible for planning this event. A theme was chosen, "April Showers, Bring May Flowers." Arrangements will be made to hold this event on Monday, April 15 at The Daily Grind. Members volunteered for committees to make arrangements, favors, decorations and a poster.
It was decided to hold the April meeting of the Teter CEOS on Thursday, April 25. April is the month our club is responsible for donating to the county project, the Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Center.
Members agreed to make a donation to Project Graduation as they have done for many years. Filling the Blessing Boxes in the area was discussed and each one will be done by each month's hostess(es).
President Cindy Raffety was warmly welcomed to the meeting.
