BELINGTON -- Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) reaffirms its commitment to community health initiatives with the announcement of its annual Medley Bingo fundraiser.
Join BCHA on Friday, April 5 at the Junior Volunteer Fire Hall for an evening of fun and philanthropy, all in support of Project PINwheel, an initiative dedicated to easing the financial burden of ancillary medical expenses for BCHA patients, including costs for food and lodging during out-of-town treatment.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., with Bingo starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities, including a Chinese Auction, a thrilling 50/50 raffle, and the option to purchase additional game sheets for Game 21. Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the event, featuring a selection of hot dogs, nachos, candy bars, and drinks.
Tickets for this charitable event are priced at $25 each and can be purchased in advance by contacting Connie Williams via email at cwilliams@barbourhealth.org. Limited tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event.
Since its inception in 1973, BCHA has been dedicated to ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for residents of Barbour County. In line with this mission, the BCHA team conceptualized Project PINwheel, formerly known as Patients in Need (PIN), as a means to provide financial assistance to community members requiring medical care outside the county. Project PINwheel directly addresses costs that insurance may not cover, such as lodging, transportation, and meals for patients and their families during treatment. Belington Medical and Myers Clinics are federally qualified health service centers dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and behavioral health care services. Our mission is to ensure accessible healthcare for all, serving patients with insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and those without health insurance through our Health Access program. Barbour Quick Care offers convenient walk-in services for those needing quick medical attention with locations in Belington and Philippi.
The organization operates the Belington Wellness Center and Philippi Wellness Center which provides a variety of exercise equipment, programs, and a swimming pool at our Belington Wellness Center, located adjacent to Belington Medical Clinic.
Our commitment extends to all seven schools in Barbour County with our Brandon School-Based Health Services including the Brandon Wellness Center, situated at Philip Barbour High School.
