REVIVAL: There will be a revival at Hunters Fork Gospel Lighthouse on Hunters Fork road just outside of Belington. Preaching will be Rev Brice Utt. It will be today, starting at 7 p.m. each night.
FUNDRAISER: The Elkins Area Band Auxiliary will host a cake walk and basket raffle today at the Elkins High School cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Concessions open at 11 a.m. and the cake walk starts at 12:15 p.m.
SPRING CRAFT SHOW: The Beverly Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting a Spring Craft Show at the Beverly Fire Department today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concessions will be sold.
HOMESTEAD BUCKWHEAT/PANCAKE BREAKFAST: will be today from 7 a.m. to noon at the Homestead Community and Event Center dining hall located at 4051 Seneca Trail, Valley Bend. The all you can eat menu includes sour dough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, pork sausage, eggs (fried or scrambled), coffee, milk, or orange juice and syrup (regular or sugar free). Dine in or carry out.
FREE EASTER EGG HUNT: will be presented at 4-H Camp Pioneer today at 10 a.m. Children will be able to meet the Easter Bunny, and games and face painting will be offered. An all-you-can-eat breakfast will also be offered for a price from 7 a.m. to noon, featuring biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. The event is sponsored by AHF 4-H Teen Leaders.
URBAN TREE Rx WORKSHOP: will be today at 2:30 p.m. at The Kump Education Center, Elkins. This workshop will focus on choosing the right tree, successful planting tips and maintenance tips to ensure your tree's viability. Park in the rear of the Kump House, 401 Randolph Ave. across from Kroger. Easy access off Seneca Road. This event follows the Our Town Spring Expo.
BUCKWHEAT BREAKFAST: VFW Post 5781 will host a buckwheat breakfast today from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the post home in Harman. The menu will consist of buckwheat and regular pancakes, homemade sausage, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs, and drinks.
EASTER EGG HUNT: will be today March 23 at Glendale Park in Elkins. The event is free for kids. Treat bags will be included. The event will be hosted by First United Methodist Church. The inclement weather date will be March 30 at 2 p.m.
FUNDRAISER: On Monday, March 25, Mount Carmel Baptist Church will be waiting tables for tips at the Steer Steakhouse from 4-8 p.m. All tips will go to Donnie and Liz Pritt to help with medical expenses.
AMERICAN LEGION BIRTHDAY DINNER: The American Legion Post 29 will be hosting its 105th Birthday Dinner on Tuesday, March 26. Social Hour will be at 5:30 p.m. and the program/dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be American Legion National Commander Daniel Seehafer. Meal includes chicken alfredo, caesar salad, bread, dessert and drink. Tickets should be purchased by 3/22 as none will be sold at the door. For more information, call 304-636-3930.
MEET YOUR CANDIDATE EVENT: will be Tuesday, March 26 at the Elks Club from 6-7:30 p.m. All Republican and independent and nonpartisans are welcome.
KID'S EASTER PARTY: American Legion Post 29 will be hosting a Kid's Easter Party on Thursday, March 28, from 6-8 p.m. in Calain Hall (Upstairs, 4th Street Entrance) for kids ages 12 and under. Easter egg hunt, prizes, snacks, and the Easter Bunny will be present for pictures.
RESURRECTION EASTER EGG HUNT: will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at Calvary Assembly of God in Valley Head on 219. All ages are welcome.
PEPPERONI ROLL POP-UP FOR KUMP HOUSE: will be Saturday, April 6 at the old IGA lot on Randolph Ave., Elkins. Noon until 2 p.m. or sold out. Famous Gino's Pepperoni Roll, 2 sides and brownie for $10.
