ALLEGHENY REGIONAL FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY: will meet today at 7 p.m. in the library of the IOOF Building on the Beverly Five-Lane. Those interested in genealogy are encouraged to attend and become a member of ARFHS. For more information, call 304-636-1650 or 304-636-8528.
HOT DOG DINNER: The Kasson and Nestorville Churches are having a hot dog dinner on Saturday, April 13, from 3-6 p.m., at the Nestorville Church (across from the stations & Rt 38).Dinner includes: 2 hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, dessert, & drink (tea, water or coffee). Dine in or take outs available. Will also have a silent and Chinese auction. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of an AC unit for our parsonage and a percentage will go to Camp Hope. Please come join us for some good food and fellowship.

CAKE WALK AND HOT DOG SALE: The St. Patrick Parish Hall in Coalton will host a hot dog dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, The menu will include hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, nachos and cheese, soft drinks and coffee. Carry outs will be available. The cakewalk will begin at 6:30 p.m.
ST. PATRICK PARISH HALL: in Coalton will host a cakewalk and hot dog dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. The dinners will include a hot dog, potato salad, baked beans, nachos and cheese, with soft drinks or coffee. Carryouts will be available. The cakewalk will be 6:30 p.m.
EARTH DAY CELEBRATION: The Annual Earth Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, April 20, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Elkins City Park. There will be free gifts given out to each family attending. Also several Door Prize drawings. Families will be able to participate in: arts and; crafts, getting seed packets, planting seeds, visiting with Woodsy the Owl, or interactive games throughout the Park.
MEET AND GREET FOR THE RANDOLPH COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATES: will be Wednesday, April 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the Phil Gainer Community Center in Elkins. A panel discussion will be followed by a brief question and answer session. Light refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by the GFWC Woman’s Club of Elkins. RAMP DINNER: The American Legion Post 29 Auxiliary and Legion Riders will be hosting a ramp dinner on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. until sold out. Dinner consists of ham, brown beans, fried potatoes, cornbread, ramps, dessert and drink. Eat in or carry out.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH EVENT: will be May 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Elkins City Park. The Valley Health Care Behavioral Health team will be providing information, along with other professionals and volunteers. The public is invited.
TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Meeting following weigh in. For information contact Jane Robinson at 304-338-6403.
