CANCELED: Annual yard sale at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, beside Camp Pioneer, scheduled for today and Saturday, May 3, has been canceled. New dates will be announced soon.

MEETING: The Kump Education Center will host its monthly First Friday: Focus on Education today at 4:30 p.m. Join us for an informal gathering to discuss basic education issues including safety, personnel, assessment, and funding in Randolph County.This event is free and open to the public. SPAGHETTI DINNER: The St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Coalton will host a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. The dinner will be held in Parish Hall and is available for eat-in or carry-out. For more information call 304-546-6477. 

DINNER: The Whitmer Community Church will host a spaghetti dinner noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The menu will include spaghetti with homemade sauce, green beans, cole slaw, hot rolls and dessert. Eat in or Carry out available. For more information, call 304-227-4798 or 304-227-4260.

SPIRITUAL RENEWAL: at Elkins Church of the Brethren, 708 West Central Street, Elkins, Sunday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. each evening. Evangelist Leah Hileman will be leading the spiritual renewal with special music by Joel Franks & Tiffany Franks on Sunday evening, the Chewnings on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and the evangelist Leah Hileman will lead a Gospel Sing on Wednesday evening. Everyone is invited to attend these special services.

EMMA SCOTT GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE: The Emma Scott Garden Club will host a Plant Sale/Bazaar/Bake Sale on Saturday, May 17, from  9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Randolph County Community Art Center.

OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in. Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar, Banjo, Dulcimer, Bass are welcome. Participants enter through the back door. For more information, contact dp-foot@hotmail.com. 

MEALS ON WHEELS: The Annual Meeting for Meals on Wheels of Randolph County will be held on Tuesday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the conference room at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at 450 Randolph Avenue.  All prior members and interested persons are encouraged to attend.  Please call 304-636-4919 for more information.

TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Meeting following weigh in. For information contact Jane Robinson at 304 338-6403.
