THOMAS — The Friends of the Mountaintop Public Library, an organization supporting the library in Thomas, is pleased to announce the return of its Summer Garden Party.

This year’s event will be Saturday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the home of Katy White in Canaan Valley.

Proceeds will benefit the New Library Building Fund and help support day-to-day operations of the library.

Ticket holders will enjoy locally catered hors d’oeuvres and desserts as well as wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

A silent auction, typically the highlight of the event, will feature pottery and other artwork, spa gift certificates, golf and ski passes, area restaurant gift certificates, books, and much more.
