Submitted photo Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center recently received an award for being a Gold Donor sponsor for the Elkins Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. The monument honors families of service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation. This project was under the auspices of the Woody Williams Foundation and jointly supported by Rotary International District 7545, the Rotary Club of Elkins, and the West Virginia Department of The American Legion. The Elkins monument was dedicated on July 5. Pictured from left are: Technical Sgt. Donald Lambert with the WV Air National Guard, the Gold Star Families representative on the Elkins Monument Committee and Elkins American Legion District Chairman, Tara Shaver, ERCC Administrator, and Dan McCarthy, Chairman of the Elkins Gold Star Families Memorial Monument Committee and Past District Governor for Rotary District 7545.
