WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: The Augusta Heritage Center’s weekly acoustic music jam sessions are now taking place at Armadillo Flats at C.J. Maggie’s Restaurant on Davis Avenue in Elkins throughout the fall and winter months. The country music jam sessions will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the old-time music jam sessions will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All levels and instruments are welcome as well as singers and listeners. THANKSGIVING BASKETS: The local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Association is currently distributing applications for Thanksgiving Baskets in Randolph County. Applications can be picked up at Peter Pan Cleaners and Miller’s Modification Station, and must be submitted by Nov. 20.
