WEDNESDAY PICKIN': at Armadillo Flats will not take place this week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Wednesday Pickin' will resume on Dec. 3 at Armadillo Flats in Elkins.

FREE THANKSGIVING MEALS: will be available on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, at First United Methodist Church in Elkins from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is free and open to all. For more information, call the Rev. Doug Lewis at 304-704-9433, or FUMC at 304-636-0660.

FREE DINNER: There will be a free Thanksgiving dinner at Parsons Senior Center on Thursday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eat in, pick up and delivery available. Everyone is welcome. For more info, call 304 478-4018.

CHRISTMAS BASKETS: American Legion Post 29 will be accepting applications for Christmas dinner baskets, for Randolph County residents only, on: Monday, Dec. 1-Friday, Dec. 5, between the hours of 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Proof of your physical residency, ID, and all forms of income you receive is required. Applications must be filled out in the office and cannot leave the building. Applications do NOT guarantee you will be chosen to receive a dinner. Baskets will be given out Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. – Noon. Letters to recipients will be mailed out beginning Dec. 8. When and if you receive a letter, YOU MUST bring your LETTER, ENVELOPE and ID with you on pick-up day. Donations of food items, and monetary donations can be dropped off at the Post.
