WV Cyber Summit set
West Virginia University will host the inaugural “Mountain State Cyber Summit: Shaping Our Digital Future, Together” to explore the latest advances in cyber defense, threat intelligence, AI and the digital future.
The event will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Morgantown Event Center, located at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, 2 Waterfront Place
More than 300 professionals, students and leaders from academic, government, military, nonprofit and private sectors will attend.
Leading state and national experts in government, industry and academia will share how attendees can help tackle evolving digital threats and be prepared to seize opportunities that will enhance our national security interests, economy, workforce and everyday life.
The event’s Keynote Speaker will be Kyle Wilhoit,the Director of Cyber Threat Research, Unit 42, for Palo Alto Networks
Wilhoit has over two decades of experience in cybersecurity. With expertise in cybercrime and nation-state espionage threat research, Kyle drives technical research and capability development for Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 Threat Intelligence. Kyle has consulted for governmental bodies like the IAEA, US Congress, and the US Department of Commerce, and his research has been featured in major media outlets.
Topics to be addressed during summit include: Cyber Threat Intelligence; Critical Infrastructure; Healthcare and Medtech; Cyber in Government; Cyber; Artificial Intelligence Innovation; and Education and Workforce Development.
