HOLIDAY PIANO MUSIC: with Raymond Godwin will be today, Dec. 15 from Noon to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall at the Arts Center in Elkins. Godwin is set to perform all your favorite Christmas songs, with a special guest appearance from a certain North Pole resident. There will be a ticket fee to attend this performance.
CHRISTMAS WEDDINGS: Twenty-Second Family Court Circuit Judge Lori Haynes will once again host Christmas-themed weddings this year from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 17, in her courtroom in Suite 202 of the Wees Annex Building at 32 Randolph Ave. in Elkins. Couples who would like to be married by Judge Haynes on that day should contact her office by phone at 304-630-1169 to make arrangements. The courtroom will be fully decorated for the occasion.
BROWN BAG CONCERT: This month’s free Brown Bag Concert at the Art’s Center will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from noon to 1 p.m. Jesse Milnes and Emily Miller will perform country and old-time music. The duo will sing close harmony with Milnes’ unique finger-picked guitar style and a healthy dose of old-time fiddling. Miller was raised playing and singing old-time and country music with her parents while they traveled the world as journalists. Milnes grew up in the world of West Virginia old-time music, learning from masters like Melvin Wine and Ernie Carpenter as well as his father, Gerry Milnes.
WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: will take place this Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Armadillo Flats on Davis Avenue in Elkins. The country music jam session will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the old-time music jam session will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We welcome players and listeners. The following two weeks, on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31, there will be no Wednesday Pickin’, due to the celebrations of Christmas and New Year’s Eve. After that, in January, Wednesday Pickin’ will resume on Jan. 7, and will continue weekly until further notice. COOKIES, CRAFTS AND MORE: The First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon will host: Cookies, Crafts, and More on Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon, Sponsored by United Women in Faith.
BUCKWHEAT & PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Randolph Lodge IOOF will host a sourdough buckwheat breakfast at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-Lane on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 7 a.m. to Noon. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice. For more information, call 304-636-2562.

OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in.
