COOKIES, CRAFTS AND MORE: The First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon will host: Cookies, Crafts, and More Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, Sponsored by United Women in Faith.

BUCKWHEAT & PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Randolph Lodge IOOF will host a sourdough buckwheat breakfast at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-Lane on Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice. For more information, call 304-636-2562.

CHRISTMAS CANTATA: There will be a free Christmas Cantata with Two Little Fish, a choir and instrumental ensemble, at The Arts Center at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Donations of toys or non-perishables will be accepted.

CANDLELIGHT SERVICE: The Elkins Church of the Brethren at 708 West Central Street will be holding its annual Candlelight Service on Sunday at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

100 CHRISTMAS TREES CELEBRATION: A 100 Christmas Trees Centennial Celebration – will be Sunday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 28, from 1-3 p.m. at the historic Kump House, 401 Randolph Ave. (across from Kroger). To celebrate the Kump House Centennial, 100 decorated trees will be on display along with a magical toy train, and light refreshments will be served. Children can visit Santa on Dec. 21. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. Enter from Seneca Road. Parking is available in back of the Kump House.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: will be at the Whitmer Community Church on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. For more information, call 304-227-4798.

OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in. Fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, bass are welcome. Participants enter through the back door. Contact dp-foot@hotmail.com.

WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: The following two weeks, on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31, there will be no Wednesday Pickin’, due to the celebrations of Christmas and New Year’s Eve. After that, in January, Wednesday Pickin’ will resume on Jan. 7, and will continue weekly until further notice.
